MASA INC VOLUNTEERS AND TRAINERS |
MASA INC was first created as a facebook group last May 27, 2015 to give free seminars, workshops and training about solar power set ups, innovations and other solar information. Soon enough Ma.Teresita Santillan, the founder-president realized that the group could do more than just giving free workshops and seminars by helping the IP communities have access to solar lighting. Giving them these solar lamps not only help them have lights at night, reduce crime rate in their community but also inspire each child/student to study at night and hopefully produce teachers, engineers, architects and IT experts. With this in mind and heart, she decided to legally register the group at SEC last July 9, 2015.
Since its creation, Masa Inc had already conducted numerous free workshops, seminars, training and had produced 29 Tesda certified EPAS NCII technicians with the 13yrs old as the youngest EPAS NCII holder in the entire Philippines. MASA Inc had also produced the first Tesda certified NCII Solar PV installer Luzon where the only certified NCII Solar PV installer and trainer holder that time was from ARRM(Mindanao)
It had received awards(Heroes Award given by Trojan batteries Singapore), plaques and certificates of appreciation and media acknowledgements and interviews.
MASA Inc circuit designed and innovated by its best technicians had gone to different countries to replace the million dollar global circuit problem of one of the NGOs here with their solar lamps and solar streetlights.

100 solar lamps assembled and sponsored by NuWorks for the Aetas of Botolan Zambales |
MASA Inc had been to many remote and hard to reach IP communities of the Philippines giving solar lamps most of the time struggling and braving to trek rugged terrains, crossed rivers and streams, rode bumpy rough roads on sunny or rainy days just to be able to give these lamps donated and assembled by different CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility department of companies and business groups), private companies and institutions, private individuals and other donors and sponsors.

It's solar lamps had gone to many upgrades since it was introduced. From the recycled pet bottles, condiment keepers, student's drinking containers to antique gas lamps and now to its world class NATIVE SOLAR LAMPS with a pending patent at IPO.

The New MASA Inc NATIVE SOLAR LAMP |
MASA Inc's NATIVE SOLAR LAMP is made of indigenous materials sourced from the deepest and highest mountains of Tanay Rizal. These were handcrafted by the Dumagat Remontados of Magata Tribe in Tanay. Masa inc not only helped them have their own solar lamps but also give them extra source of income by handcrafting these lamp case. The sponsors/donor or CSRs assemble the circuit and lamp in a form of a workshop. The assembled lamp are then donated to other IP community. Sponsors can visit the place and experience the hospitality of the Dumagats, explore the beauty and unexploited nature of Tanay and experience how to handcraft the lamp if they want to.
